In my June Southern Living magazine I saw this little article showing a vanity being used as a bedside table. I don't have a vanity and yet dream of the life where I can leisurely sit and carefully apply make up and hold the curling iron in my hair as I SIT and look at my design magazines and sip my herbal tea. My master bath is plenty big, but requires a complete overhaul to produce a sit down vanity- which will not happen for years. And so- when I came across this article- I loved the idea.
This particular vanity is from Drexel Heritage. The chair is from a junk store - re-upholstered by a talented person like Tamlynn :). The fabulous rick rack fabric is from Studio Bon.

I have a black vanity set from powell myself. As a designer, I am still in favor of keeping a night stand beside the bed. But at the same time, having a vanity as a beside table is a set up designed for maximum comfort.
