We spent Christmas in St. Thomas this year with Stephen's family. Family pictures- for me are a necessary evil. Sure- you need to do them. Of course. But when kids are young- it is absolutely a miserable process for me. Not to mention that the perfectionist in me is always terribly disappointed. My hair would do nothing but frizz on the island. Sidney's dress is not the right color- at all. (The large family picture had all shades of blues- I wasn't even thinking about our smaller family- nor did I have much of a choice in summer dresses in December.) Notice the lack of shoes and wet pant legs on the boys... Natalie and Lincoln are not looking at the camera- Ethan is scowling- and this was the best one...

You are so FUNNY! One of my friends parents always let them wear anything they want in family portraits even though they were professionally done. There is a classic one where one son is in surfer shorts with no shirt and wind blown hair (maybe age 15)and the daughter was in a Madonna phase. Priceless! I love the wet pant leg and the no shoes!
I love the picture. I can't believe how grown up natalie looks. Cute cute kids
Oh hush - that photo is simply beautiful! Only a decorator would fuss about the blues matchy-matching and it's priceless that the boys' pants are wet from the ocean! 40 years from now, you're going to be so glad this photo is exactly the way it is!
Alright.... You drive me nuts!!! because I have NEVER seen a bad picture of you! But the picture cracks me up... where there people standing all over? It appears there are atleast three different focal points and the kids aren't sure what they are supposed to be looking at. :) I love it!
