Masterpiece Theater's new movie, Jane Austen's Emma, had all of the charm of the box office hit, with all of the detail of the book. It is quite a shame that the same detail was not taken to the interior design of the set. Throughout Emma's beautiful home, time and time again, wall decor was hung too high. Seriously- this is a professional production- and that is a novice mistake. Hanging items too high is not a "period" thing- it is just wrong- in this century, as well as the last, and the one before that... Mr. Knightely, however- was quite handsome.
